Schulte Grid

Guide

What is a Schulte grid?

A Schulte grid is a table of shuffled numbers used for visual search and attention practice. The exercise is simple: find each number in order as quickly and accurately as you can.

How the exercise works

A classic Schulte table uses a 5x5 grid with numbers from 1 to 25. You scan the whole grid, locate 1, then 2, then 3, and continue until the final number. A timer makes each round easy to compare.

Why people practice with Schulte tables

Schulte grid practice is commonly used as a short focus warm-up because it combines visual scanning, attention control, and speed. It is easy to understand, does not require equipment, and works well in short sessions.

Use the app

Schulte Grid adds selectable 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, and 6x6 grids, timer, local history, and printable sheets for offline practice.
